Celebrating Two with a Wish for You

Happy 2nd blogiversary!

I started this blog right before Thanksgiving in 2012. At the time, I had no idea how to build a website, run a business, or even post a status on Facebook. All I knew was that I had a passion for kids, and for helping parents learn how to connect with them. I wanted to create a community where moms felt supported and not judged. Where they could focus on taking care of themselves as much as they take care of everyone else. I wanted to write about my own struggles and share the message that we're all in this parenting boat together.

I've faced some very personal challenges in 2014, but this blog and business have kept me going when it would've been easier to just stay in bed all day and feel sorry for myself. Subscribers of the blog have told me that they count on seeing my e-mail in their inbox every Tuesday. And knowing that reinforces my commitment to providing weekly tips and insights that have helped my clients and me on our parenting journeys.

I'm so honored and humbled that people not only read what I have to say, but that they find the information useful and relevant. This may sound strange, but when someone leaves a comment or stops me in the hallway at my kids' school and says, “You know, I tried that and it worked!” it really rocks my world. I get so much pleasure from knowing that, in some way, I've helped parents and kids connect more.

For me, music has the power to convey a feeling or transform my mood. I want to share a song I find uplifting, and that expresses my appreciation and wish for you as we enter this season of gratitude. Turn up the volume on your speakers, click the link below, sit back, and enjoy.

On a tablet or mobile device? Click here for the song.
